Emmie
was picked from a litter by my daughter after she moved out on her
own. She got the name because when my daughter saw her as a kitten, she
would pose like she had just won the Emmy award although we spell her
name differently. When my daughter moved back she brought Emmie with
her. Emmie is a very playful cat. She loves to look out the window at
the birds and squirrels and just run around our split level house. Her
sanctuary is under the dining room table or the rocking chair in my
living room. When I am on my computer, she has to jump up, walk across
my keyboard then onto my chest where she will cuddle and purr. She does
this on an off quite frequently. When I run my ink jet printer, she is
right there sticking her nose in to see what is going on. She will
chase anything on a string and loves going into empty boxes where she
expects us to play with her through the holes in the side of the box.
Emmie loves doing "pretty paws." When my wife and I come home, she
loves rolling around on the floor to show us how pretty she is. Her
front paws are curled in front of her body, hence the ' Pretty Paws"
pose. She also loves being on high places, shelves, refrigerators, etc.
At Christmas time, she loves climbing in the tree.
