Deutz
(pronounced "Dootz" after the champagne), has tortoise-shell
markings and white feet. Deutz was left with her three kitten-siblings
and mother in a box on the doorstep of our town's animal shelter. We
adopted each other when she was old enough, and she's proving herself to
be quite the extraordinary cat.
Right from the start, Deutz showed a love of water. If you run the
water in the sink or bathtub, she comes running and gets right up there
to play and drink out of the faucet. People don't believe it until they
actually see for themselves - so I included the smaller picture for proof!
Deutz also loves to chase the red spot from the laser pen, as well as
the moths that fly up to the window screens at night. She greets me at
the door every day after work - not meowing like a cat but sounding
almost like a squealing pig she's so happy to see me. What a welcome!
