I
brought TDDRA home from the "no kill" cat
shelter where I volunteer. He was among the ten rowdy kittens from
various litters they sheltered last spring. One kitten in his original
litter didn't survive and TDDRA and his brother were not gaining weight.
I fell in love with this noisy baby (meows incessantly when he doesn't
get his way) so I adopted him (despite my plan to keep the cat
population limited to two in my household) and in a short time he was
loved and spoiled into becoming a robust and happy, healthy kitty.
TDDRA enjoys tormenting his older step-sisters who each believe they are
only children and three's a crowd. TDDRA loves playing with his fishing
pole feather toy. When he gets excited he occasionally "play bites." If
he gets carried away with his nipping, I whimper like a puppy and he
looks at me as if he understands. Then he carefully gives me a last very
gentle "bite" followed by a lick and stops his rough-housing. I allow
him daily brief visit outside when weather permits - otherwise he will
complain continuously and irritate us all. Since I didn't want to annoy
the neighborhood by calling his name everyday, I've trained TDDRA to
return when he hears his little cow bell. As much as he hates to come
inside, he always returns when he's called - like a good boy.
Unlike my other two princesses, TDDRA loves people and is an all around
buddy. He has even been know to tell a workman a thing or two about how
to do their job and sticks around to supervise. Everyone loves him. I
call him my "love bomb."
