Meet
Sophie Blue! She is the most amazing cat I've ever known. Sophie
was four months old when I adopted her from a nearby shelter. She is a
year old now and is a complete joy to be around! She catches balls in
mid-air, retrieves most anything and has an extensive vocabulary!
Sophie can count to three, knows the colors pink and green and once,
arranged her many balls into a mini solar system. Sophie also brushes
her teeth on a regular basis with her own yellow toothbrush! She has a
pet lizard that frequents her window in the daytime and a tree frog that
greets her most every evening. She loves feathers (of any kind), but
prefers to sleep with her plastic banana! Each night we have a rousing
game of "Hide and Go Seek!"
The kitchen counter has been very instrumental in her development!
Sophie involves herself in whatever the family is doing and creates a
diversion when the family needs entertainment. Like most Siamese,
Sophie is very vocal and is not timid when it comes to "voicing" her
likes and dislikes. When we travel, she perches herself on my shoulder
and remains there until we've reached our destination. She spends most
of her "down time" in my lap. Her grandmother and all of her aunts and
uncles are bursting with pride over her achievements! Every day is
better just because Sophie is around.
