I look like a pitiful poster child or what? I'm not nearly as
innocent as I look! I did start life in a rough sort of way though. My
"birth mother" is a feral that my "adopted mom" feeds. My furry mom
started taking us to my other mom's house to teach us to eat and that
was the end for my human mom. She fell in love! It was the dead of
winter but there was no way me or my brother and sister were going to
let these humans anywhere near us! My human mom couldn't stand seeing
these babies in the cold so she put a box on her porch with a down
comforter and wool blanket in it. Wow we were so happy! Pretty soon she
couldn't stand that any more either and she and human dad tricked and
trapped until we were in the house! It didn't take me long to realize
that feral was not the way to go! My brother and sister were so scared,
but I immediately discovered that the bed was the place for me. I also
decided that hugs and kisses weren't so bad either! My brother and
sister saw all the attention that I was getting and decided that they
might try it too. I kept that sad innocent look for several days just to
make sure they didn't make me go back outside. I soon realized that "mom
and dad" were hooked and I cut loose. I still try to pull that pitiful
face when mom is pulling me out of the top of her silk tree, when I'm
shredding paper all over the house, when I chew on all the wood furniture
in the house (maybe I'm part dog), or when I am beating the tar out of
my poor little sister. At any rate, I know that I am in like flint and
will always be loved to pieces no matter what I do. I still pull the
poster child face when I want extra hugs and kisses. Who couldn't love
that look??
