Of
the type of Manx known as a 'rumpie,' Bergen was probably two years
old when we adopted him from the local animal shelter. He is truly a
'racecar of a cat' and, in pursuit of an elusive red yarn tassel at the
end of a fishing pole, can perform many impressive aerial maneuvers.
After a good workout he enjoys lounging in the bathroom sink or watching
television from the lap of the man of the house.
Bergen is extremely social, talkative, friendly, curious, ready to play
or keep a lap warm, and he has never, ever growled or hissed, even when
being posed by said man of the house. He is definitely a type-BE
personality! Unfortunately, Bergen has been a too-successful hunter, so
he has given up his cat-door privileges, and is learning to enjoy a bit
of outside gardening while making the gradual conversion to inside cat.
