Here
is our kitten Harriet, and she is probably half siamese. We were
given Harriet by our vet. While Harriet looked like an eight week
kitten, she was really five to six months old, but her normal growth had
not happened as she was a stray and had been living outside. So she was
tiny, hungry and very scared. She did not know how to play.
When we took her home, Harriet hid under furniture or behind the
bookcases, only coming out to eat or when we could catch her and hold on
to her to cuddle her. After several weeks, she began to gain confidence
but it was still a couple of months before she would venture out of the
room and begin to explore the house.
Now we have had her for five months and she has doubled her size, she is
happy and healthy and races around the house as if she owns the
place-which of course, she does! She has lots of toys to play with,
loves to eat and is quite beautiful! She has become a sweet,
affectionate cat and we are so happy that she is ours!
