This
is Torquemada and she is special for all the reasons cats can be
special for. She's the queen of the house, she always gets the things
her way. She's not very talkative, and for some good months we thought
she was mute - until the first attempt to wash her. On the other hand,
she always had a very strong purr, even when she was no more than a
furrball - or a furr-string, because she used to be remarkably skinny
despite the huge amount of food she ate. We were able to locate her in
the house by her purring. She does not like to be picked up, but she
knows how to get a good petting session whenever she wants one. And she
thinks she is the real mate of my husband - and has very particular ways
to let me know it - as the "this-man-is-mine" look in the picture. I had
cats for the most of my life, but Torquemada has the strongest
personality I ever met in a pet. Cattitude on four legs!
