This
is Patches. She is two and a half years old and we got her from the
local animal shelter. This is one of our favorite photos from a year or
so ago. Patches loves to be chased and played with and her current
favorite toy is a mouse. We find mouse tails and ears all over the house
:-) She's very entertaining!
She shares our attention with her "sister," Whiskers. Because Whiskers
is seventeen years old and doesn't want to be chased around the house, Patches
decided that my husband and I are her playmates. When she hears hubby's
car pull in the driveway, she races for the window and then to the front
door to greet him. She loves to follow him down to the workshop and sit
on the workbench. The loud power tools don't bother her at all.
Patches is very affectionate - most of the time. Other people sometimes
find that hard to believe, because she's not always friendly to
everyone. She received three mice for a Christmas gift and as she hides
them, so we have bought her more. She fights with them and eventually
the ears & tails come off.
