These
are Buddy (red) and Peggy (brown). They are brother and sister and
we found them on a farm in the South of Germany in October when they
were a few weeks old and people told us they were too small to survive
the cold winter in Germany. So we took them home. They are absolutely
adorable. At first we thought that they like to cuddle because they were
babies, but even now with 1 1/2 years of age - although they go out to
chase mice and whatever they find - they still love to cuddle and greet
each other with their noses if one is home already and the other one
comes home later.
Particularly the tom cat Buddy is indeed an affectionate little buddy.
Sometimes they visit us in our bed at night when they get home from
their nocturnal stroll to cuddle up with us and get warm. Then they purr
so loudly that we wake up...
Peggy often brings her mice home and loves to chase them around in our
living room which I do not like so much, especially because sometimes
she looses and forgets about them and I have to catch them instead. But
we can never be cross with her for a long time because she is just too
sweet.
Both of them love to eat yoghurt, Buddy likes only plain yoghurt and
Peggy also likes strawberry yoghurt. When Buddy comes home, he jumps up
the cat tower and meows loudly until he gets his pinch of catnip. It is
so funny to watch him roll his head in what looks like five and a half
crumbs of catnip which to our human nose do not smell of anything. But
he loves it. All in all they are both our little sweethearts and we
cannot imagine being without them.
