Sophie
adopted us when her owner moved away and abandoned her. Shortly
after she adopted us we learned she had also adopted our friends who
live downstairs. When they go to work, Sophie comes upstairs to spend
the day with us because we are home during the day. She spends evenings
and nights downstairs when our friends get home from work. We call it
"Sophies Choice."
Sophie is special because she has seven of her nine lives left. Shortly
after her arrival she contacted a severe feline virus that took several
doctors and lots of medication to pull her through. Her second brush
with death was an attack by a mean neighborhood cat. Again, doctors and
antibiotics pulled her through! She is now healthy, happy and beautiful.
Sophie likes to jump into the bathtub after someone showers. When she
wants to go out she will walk to the door and put her paw on it. She
likes to mouse hunt, play with her toys, and "talk to us," she is very
good at sharing her affection. We feel very fortunate that Sophie chose
us.
