I
was Mom's first Selkirk Rex Baby. I was so big and curly that Mom
decide to keep me. I was so unusual because my hair was supposed to
go straight between four months and eight months like other Selkirk
Rex kittens, but it didn't. Now, I'm in such curls that it looks like
cords. I love to do to shows and strut my stuff. When the judges look
at me I stick my head up and stand there like I own the place. This
last year I am two in the Breed in TICA and 18th best long hair Cat
for South Central Region.
El Zorro is very sweet. He loves for me to hold him. I carry him over
my shoulder around the house. He loves to play with catnip toys
tossing them into the air and catching them. He really likes the
girls and throws his head up high when one walks by. That's how he
got his name. El Zorro the Don Juan of the felines.
About Selkirk Rex cats: Made in the USA. Sheridan, Montana. With
coats curly from birth, these rare cats are known as "Cats in
Sheep Clothing." Their coats are soft, thick and plush with
non-matting loose curls.
Selkirk Rex cats are medium size with surprising weight. They are
fun-loving people-oriented lap kittens making them a delight to own.
They love to play, but are not curtain climbers. I am forever having
one of my cats help me on the computer (and I know one of these days,
they may just catch that cursor!!!).
