Hello!
My name is MacTavish. I am a Texas cat and proud of it! You
have heard that everything is bigger in Texas, well, I am no
exception. I weigh in at an impressive 23+ lbs. I think my
veterinarian (she is really pretty) uses the dog scale for me - hee,
hee (after it's been washed, of course). Being a Maine Coon, I have
personality traits unlike any of my adopted brothers or sister. I
have heard my human parents say that my intelligence is superior (I
always thought that was the case, but it was nice to have it
confirmed). My Dad says that I understand a surprising amount of
human words, and I guess I usually do know what they are going to do
long before they do it. They, however, don't seem to understand "cat"
very well!
My favorite thing (other than eating, of course) is being groomed. I
am brushed daily (or somebody hears about it - loudly), and the only
time I get upset is if someone feels the need to pull a perfectly
fine hairball from my tummy. Relaxation is an important part of
every day (you're surprised, right?). I especially love to lay on my
back with all four of my large, furry paws in the air! Ah, what a
life. I do find the television entertaining, especially Animal
Planet! Those birds are really cool, and there are cats even larger
than me that I can always learn something from.
